Furnishing & Home Goods

LA CAN DO’s Soft Landing is a relief effort organized by a collective of design industry leaders with a mission to provide essential furnishings and home goods for displaced families so they may recover with comfort, warmth and dignity. Participating brands are listed on the site.

Loved Ones Cremated Remains Recovery

A team of dedicated volunteer archaeologists, along with trained canines, assist in recovering lost cremated remains of Loved ones with care and respect.

Trauma Assistance

3-week trauma navigation workshop (6 sessions) for youth and adults 13+ with a focus on building a personal resiliency tool-kit for recovery. Link provides enrollment form.

Open to all Californians affected by the fires. Current Class times: Monday and Wednesday 5-6:30pm.

Available in Spanish and English.

Clothing

 

Helping rebuild lives and wardrobes with our pre-sorted, free boutique for those affected by the wildfires. If you live in the affected area, bring your ID and visit us for essentials and a fresh start.

Delivery Services

 

Free furniture and large item delivery services for fire-impacted individuals. Provides email link for Steve to inquire about assistance.

Counseling

Spreadsheet with therapists offering pro bono therapy. Includes​ languages spoken and therapists' email addresses.

Hearing Aid Supplies for Hearing Health

Dedicated to supporting the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community by providing essential resources, offering hearing health supplies for those in need as a result of the fires. Link provides contact email.

Pet Food

Best Friends has one location to provide dog and cat food to the community.

Clothing and more

 

Curated donation center located in Atwater Village that is well organized with new and very gently used, high quality clothing for men, women, children and babies, personal items, toys and much more. Link provides Instagram post with more information.

Open Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 10-4. 

Please bring ID or proof of residency.

Clothing

Supporting displaced individuals and families by offering  $100 vouchers to be used at the Council Shop secondhand, stores. The these vouchers are intended to help address immediate clothing needs. Eye Care 

Dr. Amir Moarefi (LA Sight), Dr. Alex Knezevic, and Dr. Jonathan Macy (Los Angeles Vision Institute) are collaborating and offering free eye care to anyone affected by the fires, including firefighters and first responders who selflessly protect us all.

FOR CHILDREN

The LA Lost Stuffy Project aims to help replace beloved items like stuffed animals, toys and blankets for kids who were displaced by the devastating Los Angeles Fires.
